Still "Roomies" in My Heart

(Don't forget to leave a comment on my 300th post to be entered to win the $20 Lowes gift card!)

Today I went to Knoxville to spend the day with Samantha! It was long overdue and sooooooo fun. I love her to death and still consider her (and Emily of course!!!) my roomie.
Our not so great (but better than the others) attempt at a self portrait.

First we went to Haverty's, a local furniture store, where Sam has scored some sweet deals before. We didn't find anything we had to have, but it was very fun to peruse.

We ate at PEI WEI which I had never been to before. It's owned by P.F. Changs and is basically an "express" version.

I got the teryaki chicken and Sam got the honey chicken - mmmmmmm it was so yummy!

Then we went to the mall and shopped a LOT. Sephora was our first major stop and I went slightly crazy. Which is to be expected, since this was only like my 2nd or 3rd time in Sephora. Ever.

With my wallet slightly lighter, we went to NY&C where I got some work pants on a great B1G1 deal.... then realized I didn't have any work shoes that would match the pants I bought (whoops). So then, of course, we had to shoe shop.

I did not buy these.

When we got back to her apartment, I got a custom facial and makeover (by Sam, of course!), and only Emily T. can understand why I would have sat on her bathroom counter for 30 minutes or so before... we will just cryptically leave it at that. And we missed you. And your commentary. :)
I love what she did! And I have most everything I need to replicate it on my own. :)

Samantha is such a natural at all things beauty related. She has the best sense of fashion - makeup, hair, clothes, shoes, jewelry - the girl's got it all. And some of it rubbed off on me today! Love you, Sam Kate!!

Great Samantha quotes of the day:
"Yeah, where's the Christian makeup?" (in reference to a certain line of NARS makeup...)
"You need new shoes because a little piece of me died when you told me that story." (in reference to me admitting to wearing open toed heels with tights and a dress.)
"Are you being funny, or can you really not walk in those heels?" (I wasn't being funny.)
