Christmastime Happenings

We got to be a part of lots of Christmastime Happenings this year!

RBBC Sounds of Christmas

I joined the choir at church in September and have LOOOOOOVED being a part of such a fun group of people! Every year at Christmas, I always tell myself that I need to join the choir so I can do the Christmas program - and this year I finally did! :) I have had so much fun and can't wait to see how God continues to use music to minister to me. (I'm on the front row at the very far right in the picture below- not that you'll be able to tell!)

Mamaw and I met up with Mom and Vanessa at the Tivoli to watch Nick's Band Christmas concert.

He is in the percussion and did such an awesome job! This video is of the 12 Days of Christmas - Percussion Style! It was awesome!! Nick does the slide whistle(?) "whoosh, whoosh, whooooooosh" on like the 10th day. 

I love this kid!

Sunday School Christmas Party

This year we went to our second ever Sunday School Christmas party (after joining the class last November)! We had a great night with our friends and there were lots of silly gifts including a shake weight, snuggie, and a "special pillow".

The gift we brought was this looooovely picture that of the Scotts, the Rochas, and now the Lawhorns! Next year we will be graced with the Princes as well!

Connect Group Dinner & Play Group Lunch

On Thursday (10/25/12) we had two couples and their kiddos over for dinner! The H's and the L's and our combined 5 little ones (6, 4, 3, 18 mo, & 15 mo) had a great evening together! 

Here's all the sweet kids scarfing down their spaghetti, and Jack, of course, hollering for MORE FOOD in the background. :) 

We laughed because we were all getting our kids taken care of (rightly so, of course) and by the time all their plates had been made, milk and water taken care of, etc., they were back in the living room playing! We adults hadn't even made our plates yet! :) Haha! Such is the life of parents!

We had such a good time in fellowship with our friends and look forward to MANY more dinners and other outings together.

Then on Friday, I hosted playgroup for the first time! Casey & Audrey and Ashley & Hank came over and hung out for a while at our place. We usually meet at Casey's, so Jack and I were excited to have everyone at our house! He even did pretty good sharing - since he had learned how to share with 3 big boys and 1 sweet girl the night before!

Lunch with the McKenna Clan

Last week Little Man and I got to have lunch with my friend Katie and her two PRECIOUS boys, Owen and Brecken. The boys were so sweet to Jack and so sweet to each other!! If baby #2 ends up being a boy, I pray that he and Jack are best buddies like Owen and Breck!

Fun in the Fountains

On Wednesday, I met up with Lindsay and Becca (and kiddos) at Coolidge! 

We hung out in the grass for a bit.

Then Becca and the kids had to leave, so Lindsay and I went for a walk.

BF/GF Time :)

Last week, Jack and I headed over to Alex & Leighton's house to go for a walk! The kiddos were hanging out on the floor together and Leighton tried to give Jack a smooch! :)

And I stopped to take this photo because Jack was sleeping, and as soon as I stopped moving he woke up like "Hey Ma - why'd we stop?"

We walked almost 2 miles but it didn't feel like it at all! 

Now, we just need to do it like 3x a week for it to count as exercise...
