always something else to do.

So who's with me on this? Anytime you know there's something you should be doing - let's say, studying - there are always 100 other things that just happen to pop up to keep you from doing it. I know I see some heads nodding out there. You're always hungrier when you have to study... your messy room is just now starting to bother you... Facebook is that much more addictive.
It doesn't matter what it is that's keeping you from doing it - sometimes what you choose to do instead is very productive. One of those kinds of things that if you knew you had to do it, you would find something else to do. (I think I might have lost a few of you on that one.) Ex. I hate cleaning my room. I hate studying. I would rather clean my room than study on most occasions, but if I was told to clean my room, I might just have homework that I'd rather do. Come on, you KNOW you do the same thing. :)

THIS is what I mean when I say blogging = rambling!

I've been icky sick the past 2 days... well, I didn't realize I was sick until I got home from the Golden Key Mixer and I had a 100.2* temperature. Booooooo. So I took some sleepy drugs and went to bed and then still felt pretty gross this morning. Today I've had lots of "rest" and probably not enough fluids, but I think I'll live. Who knows, I might even grace school with my presence tomorrow. (I kinda have to since I have a quiz in Mkt. Research.)

Oooooooh yeah! I got fitted for my BRiDeSMaiDs DReSs!!! YAY!!! They are absolutely gorgeous; Alex did a great job. July will be here before we know it and I will be the proud friend of Mrs. Walker. :) WHOO HOO!! I pretty much know at least one couple getting married every month from June until December! CRAZY TIMES people! I can't wait for that time in my own life, but I'm a stressball as it is with the end of college closer every day (what is it like 9 weeks now?!) that I can't imagine throwing that into the mix. Not that I would complain. But not that I want that. Okay. Yeah, so now that I've awkwardly covered all my bases.

I've got to go do one of those things that you go write a 10 minute blog instead of doing. :) Go me.

birthday parties and sore muscles

HEEEEY HEEEEY! Today I got to take my bro to a birthday party at the climbing gym close to where I work, and Jason was sweet enough to come along! We dropped Nick off, went and ate some Mr. T's, looked around at homes in the area and made it back in time to listen to 15 kids blowing noisemakers and running around like crazy people with pirate hats and eyepatches. It was amazing. :) Anyway, if we had had a little more cash between the two of us, we both would have climbed, but we had enough for Jason so he could climb with Nick. They were really cute and if I could figure out how to post a video on here, I would (check my facebook). Until then, pictures from my phone will have to do!

J coaching Nick on where to go next.

Jason showin' off his buff bod and sweet skills. :)

Kade, Jason, and Nick.

My cutie-patootie little bro.

All for now - check back for when we go again and I get to climb. Get ready.

Oh and P.S. - GOOOOOO VOLS!!!!! 66-62 - We're #1!!

some seriously great movies

As I'm sitting here, I'm trying to think of some good movies I've seen lately. I know they're in that brain somewhere... just trying to pull them out is the problem. Well last week I saw Jumper with Jason for B.Cool's birthday. It was a pretty good movie! Twists, turns, action, love - you know, the basics. And TONIGHT we saw Vantage Point!!!! It was amazing. No really. PLEASE leave your computer right now and go see it. And go to the bathroom before you go in there, because this is not a movie you're going to want to miss a minute of. Um, yeah, so let's see we did that, played pool (of course) and then went to GreenLife, grabbed some dinner at 517 Subs, and then came home and watched American Gangster with Sam. I liked it okay, but the language was a little much for me... as would be expected in any "gangster-related" movies. :) So now I'm safe and sound in bed and ready to SLEEEEEEP!

*By the way, anyone who's reading this who knows how to change the top graphic, please let me know. Oh yeah, and anyone who'd like to help me design something to put in the top graphic once I figure out how to do that, also let me know. :)

hip. hop. yo.

Emily and I are members of the Rush but I haven't been going at ALL lately, so we went 2 Mondays ago to try out a spin class. We got there about 10 minutes early, but that was apparently about 10 minutes too late - there was only 1 bike left! We wanted to do it together so we decided to just go work out on our own, since we were already there. Around 6:25 or so, we realized that the hip-hop class started in 5 minutes! Em had done it once before to the "Apple Bottom Jeans" song ("Low"), which I had never heard until that class, by the way.

So we decided to do it and it was SOOOOOOOOOOO fun!!! We had an absolute blast!! Our dance was originally to the Justin Timberlake song (youtube link below) but then this Monday we finished learning it and our teacher (also Emily) thought it worked even better with the Britney Spears song (link below). Okay so I don't particularly know what the words are to either song... maybe I should check that out... but our dance is AWESOME!!

::if you DO listen to the songs, just minimize the actual website so you don't have to watch the lovely ms. spears dance around like a... well... just minimize the page, ok?::

*Sometime - if you're lucky, or unlucky, I guess - we might post a video of us doing the dance!

blogging = rambling.

So it's been a long time since I've blogged. Probably about 2 years. Wow. That's crazy! I would not DARE try to update you on the last two years of my life - a. you wouldn't care, and b. I just don't want to. :)

Right now I'm in my last semester of school and I'm interning for a great company! I have no stinkin' clue what I'm going to do with my life after May but hopefully in the next month or two I'll have a better idea. Switching from being an accounting major to marketing was one of the best things I did sophomore year. And I finally found my big niche - market research. (So nerdy.) But it's okay because I'm going to make my hubby millions someday. (Not that I have a hubby now or that I truly plan on making millions. Stay-at-home mommy is still the priority when that time comes.) There's just a lot of time between now and that point so hopefully I can find a great job that I enjoy and just have fun and make some moola the next few years!

So right now I'm living at home with my wonderful family, but I'm reaching my breaking point on that one. :) No offense, Mom. (like she's gonna read this.) Anyway, two years of being out of the house and then two years back in with curfews, rules, and the 3rd degree? Not always super-fun. But I can't compain too much - my mom is the best cook around. Oh yeah, and I don't pay rent.

Sam (23), Nick (10), Dad, me.

(Here's most of my fam and me - and the rivalry that exists: the CRIMSON boys vs. the ORANGE girl. If you didn't notice that my pants have the tiniest bit of orange on them right about hip level, you're not alone. My mom just refused to buy me something that was completely UT orange.)

Let's see... what else could you possibly want to know about me today. I have a super cute puppy, Dash.

He's such a goofball and has about 100 nicknames. If you ever feel the need to be jumped on, licked on, and loved on, he's your man.

I also have the most amazing boyfriend a girl could ask for: Jason. We've been together for 2 1/2 years now and I am more blessed each day to be his girlfriend. And here are my two boys:

Yes, that's Dash inside Jason's hoodie pocket. We thought it was hilarious! Dash, not so much.

Well, that's probably enough for now. I gotta go play Super Smash Brothers Melee with my little bro. Yoshi whoops everyone every time. :)
