Tonight Jason and I are hosting a BIRTHDAY PARTY for Sam's 25th!!

(His b'day isn't until the 31st, but there is so much going on in the next 2 weeks that there was no other time.)

We *seriously* can't wait! :)

Mare-Bear + Sare-Bear

Last night we went to Mary Beth's couples shower! Mare-Bear and I grew up together, she used to live down the street from me waaaaaaay back in the day. I love her and I'm so excited she's getting married in TWO WEEKS!!

Breakfast with Buds

This morning I met Emily, Becca, and Kate at Panera for breakfast!

Here is the aftermath. Mmmm. Cinnamon Crunch Bagel with Hazelnut Cream Cheese. Mmmm.

I loved catching up and chit-chatting, and I LOVED hanging out with Kate:

Emily says: "Can I have a hug?" ...no response

"Well, can I have a head-butt?"

Meaningless Post

Jason and I are working on some small house projects/rearranging right now.

...but I'm not going to tell you what they are.

We're also planning a big summer trip that I am so excited about!

...but I'm not going to tell you where we're going.

Today I am sending my Favorite Little Things as part of Blair's Blog Swap! She said that 27 people from 24 different citites participated! It was hard to pick my favorite things, but in the end, you can probably tell a lot about me from what I picked.

Alex got me one of these and gave it to me on my wedding day. I just love how adorable and fun it is, and I have gotten these for SO MANY PEOPLE! (Mine has been and continues to hang from my rear view mirror.)

Catch-Up Lunch

Yesterday I met Emily Thrasher for lunch at Southern Star!!! She was in town for a few days to see her family and to have Christmas at the Thrashers. We wanted to make sure we saw each other before she headed back, so lunch it was!

We chit chatted and caught up on life - it had been since the wedding since we've had a long conversation!! So when it came to an end (too quickly!) it was time for an obligatory self portrait.

Whoa, who turned the sun on?

Wait, let me zoom in... still a little sunny.

At this point, a man came over and asked it we wanted him to take our picture. Sure! we said, and he proceeded to pretend to steal my camera.

Lame.

Super lame, really.

(But also made me realize, that I can't trust Joe Blow to take a photo for me with my million dollar camera just because he looks like a nice person. Yikes.)

But yeah, when you ask someone to take your picture, you can't exactly say,

"Oh, and do you mind zooming in so we're actually in the picture?"

6%: From my Blogger dashboard (I kind of realized after writing this answer that you can't read the whole post from the dashboard... you have to go to the site... my bad!)

My friends - we are kindred spirits. I definitely go along with the majority of you in that I find out if someone has posted through my Google reader, then go to their actual site to read their blog.

Now, this is only true for my friends, though. I have 91 subscriptions in my Google reader (that is sooooo many! please tell me you have more than me!) so of course I don't go to every single site every time they update, but I always want to read friends' blogs straight from their site. Especially because people change their layouts so much that I don't want to miss that!
