This first week of April has been a REALLY BIG WEEK for Jack!
The first not-so-great news is that he has an ear infection in both ears! Poor buddy... At his 9 month check-up, Dr. Shumate was just checking his ears and noticed that they were both red and inflamed, so we got him on an antibiotic last Friday to help head it off before it got any worse. He's been somewhat grumpy during the day, but nothing bad, but oh man... the nighttime. We already weren't doing great at night, and double ear infections haven't made it better. But I think he's on the upswing of this, thank goodness. It's hard to see him in pain and not be able to fix it, but I guess that's part of being a mommy sometimes.
On Wednesday I was downstairs getting laundry and Jack and Daddy were in his room playing. Just as I was walking in the room, Jason said "Watch!" as Jack went from laying on his tummy to sitting up! We knew he was doing this because we would find him like that in his crib, but we hadn't seen it with our own eyes!
Then YESTERDAY we were in the living room and he was in the pack-n-play (Jack, not Jason) and all of a sudden he just puuuuulled himself up and was just standing there like "Hey Ma!"
What?! When did you get so big???
Everyday I am more and more thankful that the Lord entrusted Jackson to us.
I love being his mommy!
